Surfista Hola Chris comó estás, como pasaste en lo personal este primer mes de cuarentena?
Christian Hola Surfista. A esta altura ya medio ciclotímico jaja. El no saber: hasta cuando? Es lo que más me afecta. A pesar de eso lo llevo con buena energía y mente positiva. Por suerte con la posibilidad de hacer Home Office, eso me ayuda a tener la cabeza todo el tiempo trabajando.
Surfista Cómo sobrelleva Quiksilver Argentina sus actividades en este nuevo escenario y cuales son sus fortalezas y alternativas en este momento para enfrentar esta amenaza económica inminente.
Christian Muy golpeados. Ya veniamos de años muy duros y este golpe puede ser mortal para todos. Los dueños de la compañía estan haciendo un esfuerzo terrible para seguir adelante y cumplir con todo un plan de responsabilidades. Son días muy difíciles pero estamos dando batalla y así será hasta el final.
De esta vamos a salir juntos, nadie se salva solo. Hay que ser solidarios. Por eso ahora que el ecommerce y los envíos están funcionando normalmente y a pesar del momento crítico que estamos pasando hemos decidido usar un porcentaje de esas ventas de QUIKSILVER – ROXY y DC SHOES a comprar insumos médicos y donarlos a distintas instituciones.
A su vez, ayer sacamos una campaña para mostrar que al COVID le vamos a ganar unidos.
Surfista Nadie imaginó que esto podría suceder, fue como un golpe en la mandibula, la vuelta a la normalidad será paulatina y administrada, cuales son los protocolos de seguridad que recomiendan los profesionales de la salud para los comercios y las fábricas textiles?
Christian Es imposible pensar en una vuelta a la normalidad al corto y mediano plazo. Cambió el paradigma del Mundo de un día para el otro. Estamos todo el tiempo pensando ideas y mirando qué pasa en otras partes del Mundo, pero es muy difícil planificar en este contexto.
Surfista Hoy no se puede meter al agua por las disposiciones vigentes, sabemos que en otros países se han encontrado formas de surfear manteniendo el orden y la seguridad sanitaria, cual es tu opinión en tal sentido?
Christian Si la disposición es esa hay que respetarla. Hay que dejar de pensar en uno, pensar en TODOS. Si nos quedamos en casa, más rápido deberíamos pasar esto y poder volver al agua. Las olas van a seguir rolando y llegando a la costa. Cuidémonos para poder estar ahí cuando esto termine.
Surfista Lo único que mantiene al surfing vivo en este momento son las redes sociales, que estrategia armaron en Quiksilver para mantener y generar la atención en este sentido?
Christian A pleno. Teníamos un plan de marketing muy sólido y esto nos hizo frenar y arrancar de cero. Todos a pensar creativamente y ver cómo podíamos ayudar a nuestros clientes a pasar mejor este momento. Hicimos todo tipo de contenidos junto al equipo de atletas y embajadores de QUIKSILVER y ROXY: Entrenamientos para afuera del agua – Desafios – Recitales a través de instagram live – Entrevistas – Tutoriales – Sorteos – Intervenciones. Todo relacionado al surf, a la cultura de playa y montaña.
Surfista En tus diálogos con los atletas de la marca, que te transmiten como se sienten ellos con esta prohibición de no surfear?
Christian Tenemos nuestro grupo de wsp en el que nos comunicamos y todos aceptan y entienden que hay que remarla juntos.… se estan comiendo las uñas por volver al agua pero saben que por ahora no es posible. Tengo diálogo diario con Martin Passeri donde hablamos de cada integrante. Es un equipo de excelentes personas y enormes atletas.
Surfista Que pensás de la frase que dice que todo lo negativo tiene su parte positiva, hay para vos en todo esto que esta sucediendo una parte positiva?
Christian Sin dudas la parte positiva de esto es la limpieza que está sucediendo en el planeta. Somos los principales responsables de su deterioro. Espero que aprendamos la lección que nos está dando.
Surfista La mayoría de los surfers respetaron la cuarentena, no solo aquí sino a nivel mundial, sin duda es una demostración de seguir una corriente de lucha contra el Corona Virus, pensastes que esto iba a ser así, es una demostración de solidaridad y respeto por la normas de seguridad?
Christian Y es que sino esta ola te lleva puesta. Como dice Fernando Aguerre (Presidente de la ISA): Los humanos cambiamos conductas por amor o por miedo.
Una de las dos en este caso hizo efecto, el amor y la solidaridad o el miedo. Cada uno sabe el motivo, lo importante es que cumplamos.
